The Martigny customs project aims to consolidate the activities of the civil customs office and the border guard corps in order to create synergies and streamline operations with a focus on cost efficiency and sustainable development.

The “Valet de Cœur” project proposes the construction of a single building that houses all the functions required by the program. Its layout, perpendicular to Route du Levant, generates two distinct outdoor areas: one to the east for truck parking, and one to the west for employee use.

Privacy and security for the ground floor spaces are ensured by a system of linear patios, which eliminate any direct openings to the outside. On the upper floor, customs offices maintain visual contact with the maneuvering area, allowing for surveillance of movements. These patios also provide strong visual connections between the interior spaces and the Valaisan Alps.
