— 3 residential buildings (VERT)
The energy sanitation project for 3 residential buildings constructed in 1913 and holding heritage value addresses the growing demand to reduce the ecological impact of existing buildings while preserving their architectural integrity.
Following an energy analysis of the buildings’ various weak points, the intervention focused on the windows and shutters, insulation of the floor above the basement, and the entire technical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electricity, etc.).
Working on an occupied site required complex and precise coordination between tenants and contractors, particularly regarding clearing out basements, modifying windows in workshops, and managing public circulation around scaffolding. Since there was no access through the courtyard, part of the scaffolding had to be brought in by crane truck, requiring the evacuation of tenants from the upper floors.
The technical planning ensured that heating was restored in time for the heating season.
In the end, the intervention was designed to respect the historical fabric of the buildings.
