The renovation and expansion of the Epicentre site aim to meet new user demands through, on one hand, the reorganization and optimization of the existing spaces within the associations’ building, and on the other, the construction of a new building.
The overall project also includes the complete replacement of the technical systems to accommodate the updated needs of the three buildings, which will then form a unified entity.

The new building is located in the southern part of the site, between the existing structures and the skate park, at the edge of the tree canopy. Its position is intended to create a new sense of unity across the site by forming a new outdoor space that serves as the entrance to both the Centre artistique du Lac and the new extension.
It also creates a pause point along the north-south axis of circulation, directly connected to the parking area to facilitate access for the public and deliveries.

The new plaza created in the process offers new opportunities for use and becomes the new focal point of L’Epicentre.
