— Water sports center

The site of the new Nautical Base is located along the banks of the Arve River and is primarily composed of industrial, modular, and functional buildings.

The LE LIDO project draws on these elements, proposing an architecture based on a repetitive and modular system, while introducing an architectural component inspired by a traditional waterside motif. The beach cabin is thus reinterpreted to create the project’s strong visual identity: simple, playful, and rooted in the collective imagination of leisure and sport.

Metal profiles and façade sheets are salvaged from a canopy on the adjacent plot and reused in the project.

The project addresses sustainability challenges and aligns with the City of Geneva’s Climate Strategy: protecting natural ecosystems, promoting the benefits of urban nature, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing the use of renewable energy.
